How nurse practitioners fit in
Advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) work alongside FCCI's doctors. They see patients, review test results, adjust medicines and help you understand your plan. If you need a procedure, they work with the cardiologist who will do it. Many patients see both a doctor and an APRN over time.
To request a specific provider, just ask when you call 386.325.2836.
The same group also covers HCA Florida Putnam Hospital 24 hours a day, so a provider you met in the office may help with your care if you are ever admitted there.
